Just wanted to post how much I love my band! Every time I go food shopping I am reminded of what I use to be able to eat! Mostly sweets, breads, I would eat a whole box of cupcakes or donuts in one sitting. I walk by some of my favorite foods and know I can't eat them anymore. Do I miss the food, sure I do but not enough to empty my band so I can have a pig out! I will be 4 years out in November. I am shy of 1 lb to reach my 100 LBS lost & three pounds to onderland which I have not been in onderland for over 26 years! I just wanted to share with everyone who can relate to what I am talking about or anyone who is considering the band their will be loads of foods you won't be able to eat anymore. Make sure mentally you are ready to give up your favorite foods to get thin. It is all about being ready and prepared to change your life.

For me I can eat whatever I want...but it's all about portion size now.  Instead of eating a whole medium size pizza...a small slice or two will do just fine.  Instead of a giant size of fries...just a couple will do.

I have lost a total 158 lbs...and I have been able to stay within 9lbs of this and it's been 3 1/2 years.  I do put in lots of exercise.  I just came back from working out for 60 minutes!!!!  And now I'm eating some almonds.  I love my new life style.  So much better than eating a dozen donuts and watching tv all day!!!

Keep up the good work

Great story!
I love my band too!
I don't miss the yucky feeling from overeating!  About the only thing I miss is bread, but considering how many peanut butter jelly sandwiches I would over eat before bed.. I am glad I can't tolerate it!
I am down 85 pounds now and happy with eating healthy good for me food.

Lap Band on 01/30/12
Great post and congratulations! I love my band too. I am down 114 pounds. Went to a dinner party after golf tonight and brought 2/3 of my dinner home and had a great time with everyone. I still love to eat, just eating the right amount of the right things and food that I enjoy!

I have not been on for some time and used to go in the chat room all of the time and talk with others.  Now my wife is considering the lap band and would like to talk with people who had it done.  I had Rou-N-Y, so I am no help at all!  :)
Is there still a chat area or forum where she can talk with somebody?

Thanks everybody for the support:)  I am still losing and will get to goal by my 5Th anniversary or sooner.  I don't always get a chance to post, but I do peek in on everybody at least twice a week.

Congrats!! That's truly amazing! Lapband is wonderful, but you're the one who put in the hard work and effort to get where you are!
