Have you been missing me?
I'm still around, and know that I have been derelict in my duties here lately. No B*TCHFest, no a$$ kickings . . .
I took an EMT-Basic course in the spring, and was busy with that (passed second in my class.) I have finally passed my Connecticut EMT practical exams - now have to study for the "written" (computerized) part of the NREMT (national certification) test, after which I will be a nationally certified EMT.
I've also started a 3-day-a-week/8-hours-a-day job editing and writing for a production house near here (started this week.)
So, once I have all my ducks in a row, I promise to post more frequently. In the meantime, you all know that I am still around. If you need something, just send up the Bat Signal (PM me) and I will be right there!

We always miss you when you aren't here Bette!
My DD took an EMT-Basic course and I think she said a servial or rescue course. Any way she can do rescue in montians or parks. Can you tell I'm having issues remembering what she did say. Any way she is finally at least getting a part time job doing something with the parks. Her DH is stationed in KY/TN right now. She has trouble getting jobs as he gets moved.
Any way glad to hear you passed all. Good luck with the NREMT!

It took three tries for me to pass the practicals. They say that "the devil is in the details", and it's true. I could NOT figure out what I was doing wrong with the trauma and medical stations and when I DID, finally, it was something that seems minor but is a MAJOR deal when done in the wrong place.
