What a rough day...
O---M---G... What a rough day...
I have had the problem with everything feeling stuck in my throat for several days now. I called yesterday and got an appointment with one of my doc's partners (my doc is out of town) and planned to leave my house in time to get there just before my appt. I got ups, took a shower, and was about to get dressed when I got nauseous. I started fighting it and felt that I was going to be ok. Then, I wasn't...
I only made it to the bathroom sink, but that was fine because it was like I was just brushing my teeth. Nothing came out but foam (because nothing has gone into my stomach for days.) I wound up leaving my house much earlier than I was planning just in case I had to pull over and get sick. IH-35 is a very busy highway and I was very careful on my way.
When I got there, the doc (whom I really liked since he cam in joking and trying to make me feel better) pulled 3cc of fluid out of the port. mind you, my first fill is at 6 weeks and I am only two weeks out now. I immediately felt better other tham the mongo headache I had. Hubby decided to let me start the soft stuff a day early and took me to lunch to get something in my stomach.
sorry for the book, but I want to thank you guys for helping me through this week and giving me some ideas as to what was going on. You guys are lifesavers!

Glad that worked for you. So, he did pull the 3cc primer right. That is how much they primmed me with at surger.
But, the last thing you should have done is move up to soft stuff early. I/we always go back to shakes only for 24-48 hours after every fill/unfill. I sure hope with all you went thru, this doesn't bite you.
Take care and get in all your fluids. Never be sorry for the book. It's how you learn and help us help your.

I am so sorry for your pain, but trust me it shall pass!! my first three weeks I was so damn sore!!!!! I even popped a port stitch!!! i remember crying after a week thinking what the hell did I do???
BUT I really did too much at a time!!
AS for your dr!!!!!!! I really think he needs more education!!! He gave you too much saline at the surgery time!!!!! 3 cc's with surgery caused too much swelling for you!
With that said if I was you I would stay on liquids an extra week and then very slowly add my liquid mushies. Also once on mushies or solids, if you have a stuck episode, go back to 24 hours liquids, 24 mushies, and then slowly introduce well chewed food!!
Good luck to you!!! Make sure you take your pain meds!! Don't do lifting for a few weeks, and HERE"S TO YOUR AMAZING JOURNEY!
