A bit misrable today...
Hey, guys.
I have been doing really well. However, today I have been a bit miserable. It seems like everything is sticking in my throat (though I know that it is not) and it gets worse each time I take a sip. We thought that maybe it was just gas, but it is not getting any better since I took the Gas-Ex strips. Anyone have the same problem?

Call your surgeon. They like to be updated on every little thing. If they are closed they will have some type of emergency arrangement like an answering service. Beyond that try hot tea or some other hot drink and walk around so it will go down. I don't do so well swallowing while sitting because of my belly. If I take several sips I have to walk around the house or yard for a while. Try it.
Keep us posted and really do try your surgeon. That is why you pay them the big bucks.

Thank you all for your wise words. I was really miserable that day, but it has been better each day since. Granny, I did drink more warm stuff and I did move around a bit more than I was. I am so looking forward to the day that I am able tto start eating the mushy stuf! That will be Thursday and I am rooting for it to get here!
I picked up the phone to call my dr. that night, but put it down when it started ringing. I though that I would wait until the AM to see how I felt. I was much better.
I am afraid that I am not drinking enough water, though. I am not thirsty, therefore I do not even think about it. I may try to find some sort of weird bracelet to wear so that I have something to remind me.
Again, thank you so much for your feedback. It really has helped me. It is great to have a place to be able to check in with those who understand and appreciate what I am going through. You guys are aces with me!
