I'm Back.... after htting rock bottom:(
Well, I havent been on this website in a while. long story short, had lapband, great success- than i had back to back pregnancies- yay! Im a mommy now. sadly i have gained my weight back :( I am excited to have scheduled an appt with the doc to get some fluid back in my band after a complete unfill due to the pregnancies. Yes i gained most of my weight back due to the pregnancy, but 4 weeks after delivery, i sat on the foot rest of my couch and i heard a crack, i had fractured the wood, I was devistated. My husband was there and i had never been so embrassed before in whole entire life. Not to mention earlier that day I went clothes shopping only to find out that nothing fit me right, everything i tried on was a no-go. after having a bad shopping experience and than the couch breaking, i had an emtotional night. Waking up to a new me, with positive attitude deciding to get back on track, im excited to be here. Thanks for your support and looking foward to my new ME !

Congratulations on the babies! You can do this, you have before. It may be harder but you have so much more to live for. That is the key, isn't it? We had wls so that we can live, not to look good or anything else, though those are nice benefits.
My surgeons office has a special "Back on track" program for wls patinents who have gained. It offers intensive support, meetings with various staff menbers to design a program for you, etc. I think it goes for around 3 months. It might be something to check into since starting over and keeping it up is so tough, especially with the demands of the kiddo's.
Go to support group meetings, or join OA online, or WW or anything else you can think of. The diet pills won;t give you a solid foundation upon which to base this new phase of your life.
The last thing to remember is that you have not failed. You won't get there in any short time so have patience, but you have never, ever failed at this thing.

I am right in the same boat. I had Lap-Band done in 2009, lost 170ish pounds.... Went through some less than decent times, and have gained all but about 25 lbs. back. The good news is that the Lap-Band is still there and working, and I got an adjustment last week, and am slowly, but surely getting back on track. Don't get frustrated. I was there, and all it did was elevate my blood pressure. Start slow. Do shakes, drink lots of water. And set small goals for yourself. I've been back doing shakes and water since Wednesday, and have dropped 8 lbs. in that time. I'm going to stick with it, because I like the results already. Don't get down and out. That only makes it worse. :)
Welcome back!
I don't come here very much any more because things have changed a lot, but I want you to know that you are not alone. Many of us are struggling to maintain our WL and the only way to do it is to get back to the basics. Get a fill if you need one and start measuring. Cut the carbs and focus on protein. Move more than you did yesterday. It's not easy but I always knew that this would be a life-long journey for me. It seemed easy for me the first year but keeping it off has been much harder than losing the initial weight (in my case).
While the couch cracking was a terrible experience, use it for motivation to get back to where you were. Sometimes we forget what life was like before WL and need those painful reminders. I know I do! Everyday when I put on my slightly snug work clothes I realize that yoga pants are evil and I need to be more vigilant!
Congratulations on the babies!
Nice to hear from you!
