I am fairly certain that I will be losing my band today. Please take a moment and send a silent prayer for a simple surgery and easy recovery. I hate to put the carriage before the horse but I feel in my heart that it will be removed. The more prayers the better. I am scared out of my damn mind!

I fear that more will be wrong within that obviously cannot be seen from the outside. I fear not having my band yet welcome the thought of having a normal life where I can enjoy a crunchy apple with my beautiful daughter. I am terrified of gaining back all of the weight I have lost over the years. I started at 251 and my lowest was 132. I have sat between 165-170 for the last 3 years. I could afford to lose about 20lbs but I am one of the rare long term bandsters who has kept her weight at bay. I pray that I can work hard and not regain but from what I read it is rare. There is no possibility of a revision as my insurance now has a bariatric smack down in place.....

Here goes nothing!

From 251 to 141 and LOVING every minute of it! From a size 18 to a size 6-8!
I can finally SPREAD my wings again!

I just want you to know you can maintain if you keep at it. I've been empty for over a year, still have my band but don't really feel restriction  unless I eat waaaay too much. So it can be done, I eat pretty normal, still way less than before, just make wise choices most of the time and you should be ok. I think alot of people are so starving from having to eat whatever they can get down that when the band comes out they just go crazy. I simply stuck with my regular band eating and have done fine. You can do it just take it one day at a time and don't beat yourself up if you slip now and then. Oh and prayers up for a smooth surgery.

Joy you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Think positive!  We are here for you girlfriend.  You and I can lean on each other to keep inline bandless.  PM me when you feel up to it.  I'll be gone over the weekend, unbanded Tuesday and hopefully back online by Weds.

My band was removed yesterday via emergency. I am in quite a bit of pain right now and scared out of my damn mind. Once I can clearly and straight I will update you all! Is there a way to comment to everyone here at once or do I have to make sub comments to each person? Thank you all for your support, it really has been helpful while going through this process!
