WOW!  How did the band cause the liver damage?  I'm really interested to hear.  Something is major wrong inside me.  Hopefully he will tell me what it has done and not just remove the band with no answers.
the lapband started to migrate into my liver - i had a section removed during removal / revision.   my labs still have my levels off - so on meds till cleared up.

i TOO knew something was wrong inside of me, i hounded my awesome PCP and he ran every test known to man on me.   for 3 months i was stuck ginnea pig - but he determined fibro after eliminating every test.
also left my LB dr and went to a DS surgeon for revision - not ONE single diagnostic test showed that my band had migrated into my liver....NOT ONE.

i got my band back, and the port is covered in black mold.

if you think something is wrong - don't hesitate to get someone to listen to you, the likelihood is great given this POS product.

this forum is a laugh riot - really it is.

i especially love the posts of "why" people no longer post here - and they are the first to arrive to say it's all the negativity.
like clock work - the same old same old post WHY they no longer post.   it's their outlet i've learned.

you either do or don't - we (collective we) get it why, your outnumbered by the complication rate.

and i DON'T buy the argument of shall i say - that people are afraid to post their problems because the blame game.  BS,  there is a poster on the MB & one much beloved here that were the worst of the worst in blaming the patient.   i know - because they did it to ME!
*mental note to write a book*

frankly - you want a band , get one .... your dollar, your body.
unlike some, i don't feel compelled to warn others that their liver may be compromised for life - or that lasting pain even after removal is with you ... for life.

i do applaud those that do, even with the backlash that accompanies their STORY - - not a made up one.

this is the ONLY forum that blames the patient.

and that's fine for those that feel it's better to blame, than to worry about what's going on inside them.

this is the ONLY forum that has 3-4 posts daily about a serious complication.

it should be noted, i am not a bitter ex-lapbander who didn't make it work, i was at goal...   i HAD to have the band removed, i was revised to the sleeve - - and for those who HATE (and i know those posters - since '06) people ******g on the band, don't comment on the sleeve if YOU don't have one.   FAIR?

My purpose was to get some of the peeps who might be having problems to look at a few threads, become aware that the early warning signs can be misleading.  Since the post has over 300 reads, whether they post or not, at least they looked.
