Adam is my aftercare surgeon as well and this doesn't sound like him at all. I agree with the above poster. Call and ask for Julie, she should be able to get to him faster.

I just saw your other post with all the symtpoms. So sorry you are going through this. Keep us posted! Hope you hear from Adam soon!

If you have band erosion, you have to get rid of it and, if you intend to revise, find a new surgeon if your current surgeon does bands only.

I recommend you have the band removed and revised in a single surgery, if possible. It may or may not be, depending upon the degree of erosion.

Good luck and feel better.

My surgeon called me first thing this morning.  He already had a plan in place so that was good.  Surgery for removal will be Tuesday.  I have to stay in the hospital until Friday, which I was not at all prepared to hear.  I really thought it would just be overnight like the original surgery.  Im praying they let me out  early.  i don't rest at all in a hospital, and its my babies first week of kindergarten!!

Wow! Erosion and 3 nights in the hospital to recover. Suddenly "least invasive" doesn't sound appropriate, does it?! :-(

Did your Doc say why you had to stay in the hospital longer?  Is it harder to take out than put in or is he being extra careful?

Good luck with removal surgery on tuesday.  I will be doing my history for my band removal that day and will keep you in my thoughts.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Removal is more difficult especially when eroded.  He needs to repair the hole also. I will have drains in also.
