Yes, please do research all the WLS. My daughter had wanted the band and was approved. Than she got pregnant and couldn't get it. She will tell you it was the best thing to happen to her.
I got the band in the mean time. After she saw all that I went thru and with all the research I did, she got the sleeve. She is so happy that she wasn't able to get the band when she wanted. My sister also changed from getting a band to sleeve after I came clean that I had one and thay it was what was causing my troubles.
They are both doing GREAT and I am in need of a removal. Please do the research. Read the revision boards and find the failed lap band group.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
