OT: Happy Dance

 I shared this elsewhere but so very happy about it wanted to share it here! Due to the kindness of donors my students will be receiving $500 worth of sensory equipment to use in the classroom! :) Pretty cool huh? Its one of those things you apply for but don't really think you will get so you sorta pu**** to the back....received the notice the other day.....the items are on their way :)  

WOOT!!!!!  So often special needs stuff is put at the bottom of the list...not because we are forgotten but because we are such a small group out of many. I am doing all I can to find any extra resources that will get me and my students what we need even if the county is unable to provide it. :)

That's great!

I used to be a special ed teacher and know how tough the budget issues are.  That is awsome you made the effort to get some equipment they need.  Sensory stuff, do your students have autism?  That's the population I worked with and I know many had sensory issues.  Kudos!

 Yes I havea  CBSS classroom for Autism. Its funny because when I took the class they were treated like the "cant" class.... now the reg ed teachers come to my room for my kids to show thier kids how to do things... :) I kids are loving it :)
