(Yes, I know it's only August, but please indulge me . . . )

To all my NYC-area friends, especially the non-Christians: what is there to do in New York City on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Are most places closed?

My DH and I are having our 15th wedding anniversary the day after Christmas and wanted to do SOMETHING nice - that we could afford - so we purchased a 2-night stay at the Hotel Wales (Upper East Side) through Groupon.

Granted, just walking around the city will be terrific, but if anyone can make any suggestions on things to do or see, please chime in.

THe joke in NY is all the Jewish people go to Chinese restaurants on Christmas. It is a great walking city. Plenty of places will be open.
