They can not always tell if there is a slip by testing. Sometimes the tests show up fine, but once they open you up they see a slip or erosion. Since you are having a problem, get in as soon as possible to your bariatric surgeon to get evaluated. Good luck!

When you get an upper GI, you will get truer results if it is not accomplished NPO.  If your pouch is empty, the slip is either unlikely to show or show as minimal.  Been there, done that and got a different surgeon who doesn't make that mistake.

I had a slipped band and had it fixed today.  I was having alot of vomiting for the past two weeks.  During that two week period on certain days I couldn't keep anything down and on other days I could keep everything down.  In the beginning I was thinking it was just stress. I became concerned and went to my Dr and sure enough my band had slipped. They were able to tell this from the flouray xray not sure on the spelling and I also had a hernia.  Hope this helps in someway.

I knew that all the vomiting was not good but I just blamed it on stress.  So glad I finally went in and when they went to take some fluid out they could tell from the fluro that the band had slipped.  October  28 would have been my fourth year to have my band.
