How much is too much?
I currently have 5.2cc in my 11cc realize band. I don't feel any restriction, but do slime if I don't chew or eat too fast. I have never thrown up but have had slime for like 30 minutes. But I can eat anything... doughy bread, all meats..etc.
I am scheduled for Aug 13 for another fill, trying to find my zone.
My girlfriend has 7cc, in 11cc band and was told she can only have 1 more fill. Does that sound right. She has thrown up many times. Should she get a fill?, Should I ??
I just dont want to feel hungry and I can eat a lot right now.

Here are some things to consider:
Are you able to go 3-4 hours after eating dense protein (3-4 oz.) and some veggies without feeling true hunger?
If you have true hunger, not head hunger, when is it happening?
Can you get all your protein in for the day without having to resort to soft foods? It is not what things you can eat or the amount but how long it takes for you to feel true hunger. If you can go that 3-4 hours or so then you probably don't need a fill.
We aren't relying on the band to stop us from eating larger quantities because I can eat quite a large amount, too. We are looking at when true hunger hits. Head hunger hits me not long after eating but true hunger doesn't arise until very close to that 4 hour mark, sometimes more.
If someone is throwing up frequently they either need to use better eating habits or get a slight unfill. Being so tight that you throw up often is not a good thing. I have done that with as little as 2.5 cc in my band. Being tight will not cause you to lose weight more easily but will actually stop weight loss. A slight unfill can make all the difference.
The amount of fluid in your band is not very important. Some have their bands nearly full, I have never gotten past 3cc without having some back out.
Talk to your doctor and get their feedback. None of us like feeling hungry but we also need to know that it is not an emergency.
Good luck

Good morning......
Sounds to me like you might have restriction, you need to gage it like the other poster said and you should never be tight enough that you throw up but that is just my opinion.
There was an article that someone posted once and I hope someone else remembers were it is (I will look for it also) but it states "what restriction is and isn't". and it isn't what you think.
Everyone is different, I could always eat all foods and food groups regardless of how tight I was, now if it was very dry meat or scrambled eggs then no........... I am considering a small fill because I went to eat the other night and was able to put down a 5oz sirloin, but then again just because I could doesn't mean that I should have.
Feeling full is not restriction, being satiated on a small amount of food for several hours is.......
Good luck, be cautious on the fills, follow your Surgeons guidelines regarding fills and take care of your band.....too many issues can arise.
