1 year update on my revision!
My revision has been a God send. I know there are some doubters who always say that we revisions aren't doing as good as we claim, so I wanted to back it up with pictures! I am currently at goal (152 lbs, I flirt with 150 sometimes but I don't really like the way it looks on me). The Sleeve for me is everything I thought the band was going to be, I love the life it has given me.
SO those of you with problems who are facing a revision, know that it's hard and it can be full of emotions and turmoil, but sometimes its the best thing that can happen to you. It was for me.
So I am having major issues with my computer monitor, these pics look fine on my phone but are super dark on my computer, hope you can see them! As always, ignore the laundry on the bed and my wacked out hair, it's SO rainy and humid here it's pointless for me to even try and keep it stright LOL
In my new dress (size 6), with some FMP (frisco's fave).
And this is a bad picture of me, but it shows you just what running can do for your legs, they are solid muslce and I love they way they look in heels!
And just in normal cloths, size six shorts and medium t-shirt!
And the before picture, just as a reminder!

Wow you look amazing. I am from BC Canada and I am going to be having my surgeroy in Kelowna at a private hospital. I am just starting my journey as next week I sit with the Dietician and then by early fall I should be banded. I have been overweight since I was a baby, and have and done alot of research and felt that the lapband is the best for me. I am looking for a aid to help me with it. I am 280 pounds and going to be 40 years old this year. I want to start the next 20 years being healthy and banded. Do you have any advice you would share with me?
I am a revision, my band had to be removed by emergency surgery, in the three years I had my band I was only able to get off about 80/90 lbs but lost that amount in one year after being revised to the VSG, so my advice would be to REALLY research the band, read the good, the bad and the ugly, check out the revision board, listen when vets here tell you that banding isn't for everyone, really look at what your true food issues are (emotional eating vs. volume etc), get counseling, learn to love exercise and understand that your whole relationship with food needs to change.
My quality of life and my weight loss journey has been a much better one with the VSG then it ever was with the band.
