Band Problems???

If anyone is serious about not feeling alone with their band problems and really want to ask questions that will get answered without getting blamed for the band failing them....
Go to Facebook, there are 2 groups....
One is.... Failed Lap-Band and Realize Bands,
the other one is....  Lapband 911 - Complications.
You will get honest answers, you will not feel alone, and you will not be bullied or blamed for your band failing you....
I did find some of the members here first when I was having serious complications and almost died.  Without them I would have been a basket case, especially since a lot of other people were telling me it was all my fault without even listening to what was really happening.  Some were telling me I was too tight with too much fluid in the band (I was empty for 3-1/2 years).  Some told me I was eating too much, (I would puke after eating 2 bites of yogurt).  Without the help from the people in this group, I probably would have just beat myself up more as some other people on this forum were doing for me.
Don't feel like you have to go through this alone.... Come join us on FB....

I agree... there are a lot of nice folks in both those groups. If you need a kick in the rump, you'll get it. If you need a virtual hug, you'll get that, too!

And NO BLAME. Anyone who blames others gets triple purple nurples.

Is there some way to join without the whole world knowing your business?  That is my problem with FB.  Nobody looks for me here.  They don't know to look unless they have this in common.

It is a private closed group.  We can talk about anything with each other and our friends don't see it.  That is what is so nice.  We can be upfront, honest and open about what is bothering us.  There is tons of support...

when I searched it from the page my DD set up for me it showed the name and avitar of the members.  I wouldn't even want that to show.

I really really would like to join, but I don't want anything sean at all.

Open a second FB account using your OH name , that might work. I have thought the same thing about bypass or just plane ole WLS sites, my friends on FB can see it all and I don't like that

Unfortunately it is the same!  DD set it up so everyone would know me.

I might have to join that FB group now that I see its a closed private group... can your friends tell that you are in the group by looking at your info on FB or is it COMPLETELY private?????... I have friends and family that I did not tell I was banded (5 years out right now WITH A SLIP found at my first ever Fluoro last week)... and I didn't tell them for good reasons. NONE OF THEIR BUISINESS.  Plus less people to tell why I am not losing well and less people to EXPECT me to be a certain weight.

Anyway... I am thinking of removing myself from OH permanently.  I cant even get a comment about my slip in a thread that I posted about it two days ago.  Apparently a lot of the helpful people who were here 5 years ago jumped ship too.  This place is not the same anymore.

How did your slip end up?  I just had surgery today to have my slip fixed.  I also had a hernia fixed.
