God gave me the answer

I wanted to have revision from RNY to lap band. I have had all my bloodwork and testing done. Seeing nutritionist and after all that been informed that even though ins.will pay after 3 months the hospital has a policy of 6 months. Must maintain exact weight to the ounce for 6 months. I had the flu the week before I started this and ate nothing and lost 5 lbs. well I am better and have regained the 5 lbs. but maintaining. The 5 lbs I have gained after flu knocks me out of hospital policy and what really makes me mad is that no one is on same page or I would'nt have wasted my time. I caught the flu from the very dr.'s office that is going to do surgery. My appt a man started vomiting and the next day I had flu. Why does the hospital have the right to hold me hostage for  months when ins will pay in 3. The dr didn't even know this even though the nutrition side says he is on comittee. I think maybe this is a blessing from God. As much as I need this weight off due to health and joint issues I am going to write it off. No way a woman can stay the exact same weight we have water weight gain at certain times and this does not matter has to be exact to the ounce. Oh well will have to try on my own and if I succeed then I can say I did it on my own. Thanks

I agree that is a crazy requirement.

I don't know if you have tried Weigh****cher. If not try it. I really liked it and wished I would have stuck to it rather than have surgery.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thank you. I have decided not to jump through the hoops. I feel the dr. and hospital is just wanting to get all the. ins. money they can and don't care about me. Done.

I think he did. YOu know on your impossible post I responded to you that I thought it was actually a blessing in disguise. Now over a wk. later I'm in Starbucks in the middle of a devoational group and looked at OH and saw your post about God answering you. I never go to devotionals. I just happen to be here. What a coincidence?

I believe you'r being lead in the right direction. :-) Good luck hun!!!

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard~ it's just a way for others to gain control. Who stays the same weight to the ounce for 6 months???

Pre-band highest weight: 244
Pre-band surgery weight: 233
Lowest: 199 ( for, like, a day)
CW:
260 (yes, with the band!)
Current Fill: 5cc in 10cc band
BMI: 49

This is just one more thing that someone takes control of us. If it's not the government it someone else. The land of the free. I am not so sure anymore. I do know it could be worse and probably will be. I am not so heavy that I can't do it on my own. And the  more I read responses from the people banded the more I know that not doing it is the right decision even if I could maintain to the ounce. Thank you and God bless you.
