Pulling a "Swoosh"
Life can be stressful, and discouraging at times (for a variety of reasons). Working in a year round school we are back in the building getting the classrooms ready for Monday morning when our students come back. Sitting my mess of a room this afternoon trying to decide what I was going to tackle next a teacher friend walks in.
"HA!" He said, " I just pulled a Swoosh!"
Excuse me? (he tends to be a smart tail so I am expecting it to be him picking on me.
"Well, I am taking some computer classes and was in my classroom setting it up and Becky came by she was asking about Mason (his new baby son), and about the classes i was taking...then she looked around my room and shook her head...even your room is organized she told him..... You know you you remind me of? .......Swoosh, she does all this crazy time consuming crap, going to school, weight loss, volunteering, writing, teaching, and always helping others and STILL comes out making it look easy..... you people make me sick."
He grinned at me.... "see...I pulled a Swoosh."
I told him how great he was and how proud of him I am (he is really working hard to find ways to better life for his new family)
But it was funny...here I thought he was gonna 'pick on' me and in reality he (and others) think I do some pretty cool stuff. :) Was really nice to hear :) Funny that he thinks that living up to being me is "something strive-worthy" all I could do was smile :)
...just keep swimming
Swoosh :)
