Hi I literally just signed up and already have a billion questions about everything. First and foremost, I am strongly considering doing the LAP-BAND surgery. My main concern is post surgery. What have you guys experienced? Is it easy or a struggle? Do you feel sick? What is your diet like? How fast does it come off? How was your LAP-BAND experience?!

If getting it off fast is a high priority for you, the lapband isn't for you lol. Some people have it like that, but not many at all. My first thirty pounds fell off but I had to bust my hiney to lose the rest. P90X for exercise, monitoring everything I ate etc.

Your surgeon's office will advise you on eating - what, when, etc. Typically it's 2-3 ounces of protein, a veggie. I try to get in fruit as a snack (slices or quarters, not a whole peach/apple). Gotta get your protein in so get a protein shake you like.

I've been fortunate so far (6.5 months) and have had an easy time of it. It still takes your power/energy to make good food choices. if sweets are you thing you should explore other options (you should explore all WLS options).

Get active, it helps with the weight loss; I go to the gym 4-5 times a week.  Good luck.
