Bruise

Hi, I've had my band for 3.5 years.  No problems, no issues.  Suddenly, this morning I noticed in the shower a small black and blue mark where my port is.  It's not painful.  I can press down and feel my port.  Again, no pain, maybe a little sore.  But no more than anytime you push on a black and blue mark.  Anyone else have this happen?

If you banged it in that area or picked something heavy up and held it to your belly in that area it may bruise.  I to am 3.5 years out. and have bumped my port area.  You now have a foreign object there and if you have lost lots off your stomach or never carried the weight there in the first place it is "thined skinned"

thanks, that what I thought, but wasn't sure.  Don't remember banging it, but did carry a couple of heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs.  That's probably what happened.  Thanks again for your reply.

Yep, I picked up bales of hay to move and I've always used my stomach to lift/hold heavy stuff to move.  Just doing this has left me with bruise. 

Just make sure to keep an eye on it to make sure that is that and not that something is bleeding under the skin. You know how long your bruises last.  Also if it gets larger or more call.

I don't over react.  I just also don't want you to wright it off because of my experiences.  I'd feel bad.
