The Vertical Gastric Sleeve is PART of the Duodenal Switch. But they aren't the same procedure.
The Sleeve is restrictive while the DS has a malabsorption component, as well.

I was going to have RnY done, but then the band came out... and I believed all the hooey about it, unfortunately.

Thanks Nic, I am going to have my gallbladder taken out, and they want me to go to my lap band surgeon, who is more than capable, just not wanting to make the 3 hour drive both ways. Looking for WLS doctor here and hoping to switch doctors permanently.

I will have to research the sleeve and see what my doctor says about a revision to that.

You'll feel so so so much better after gallbladder removal! Those suckers can really cause a lot of pain, can't they?!
