 Hi,
My name is Joann and I am so happy I saw your post.
I had BOB on June 8th and though I am so excited about it.
I have some questions and I guess concerns.
I had my RNY in 2004 and lost 120 lbs.
I have since put on about 40 lbs and hence the BOB
I am always worrying about it slipping and not knowing what to look for.
I heard if you vomit it could slip and unfortunately i was eating too fast and was vomitting quite a bit, (mostly saliva) but sometimes food.
I also feel like Im losing so slow this time.
I hope I am not sounding like a pain but I would appreciate if you could give me some advice from your experience.
How much have you lost since your BOB and how long is it taking you.

thank you so much
Joann

Hi Joann. I don't come on here a lot.  Sometimes several times a week, then not for a month.  I think you are over worrying. I throw up too, a lot this week, actually, but not at all for weeks. I have my period, so i think Im tight. I was actually thinking of getting some fluid out of my band so I can eat more.  I think it takes a lot more than vomiting to make it slip. Plus, the scar tissue, unfortunately, holds it in place.

I am curious though why you are throwing up when you just had the band 6 wks ago, how much fluid do you have in your band? I wouldn't think there is enough to cause this?

WEIGHT LOSS IS SLOW, I HOPE NO ONE TOLD YOU OTHERWISE.
