 i am going for the band next week an i am having second thoughts because i thought i would be able to eat more 
foods after surgey just less of it.  will i get sick from eating breads

 Heather, I am amazed at the difference in your avatar photos....your previous photo looked like a person at goal but now you really shine.  Congrats on your success and determination. 

   
5.0 cc in a 10cc lapband  (four  fills) 1 unfill of .5cc  on 5/24/2011.
.5 fill  March 2012. unfill of .25cc May 2012.  Unfill of .5cc June 2014.

Still with my lapband with no plans for revision. Band working well since

last small unfill.

HW: 267lbs- size 22-24  LW:194lbs  CW:198lbs  Size 14-16

 Thanks Jo. I just had someone shrink my most recent pic and just posted it.  Im enjoying the summer, the weight loss and walking 20-30mi a week.

While I don't think the lap band is the best WLS out there by any means, I think that the band over bypass is genius. People with bypass really don't have much choice for revision surgery . I've heard that the pouch tightening surgeries are only very moderately successful. I think the band over bypass is probably the most effective weight loss surgery for someone with RNY regain. There are cir****tances in which the band is a  good idea and in this case--I feel this was. RNY is a drastic surgery and facing regain after going through all of that would be terrifying. This seems to be a good solution. I hope it works for you as long as it can :-)

 Here is a picture, this explains it pretty good. Essentially its the same place as you have your band but my stomach was already modified with the RNY
