If you're having problems...

I haven't been able to eat most veggies or salad for weeks now, without any fill.  Tonight I had my salad (1/3 cup chopped finely as usual) first and was able to eat it.  About 20 min later the rest of the family sat down for dinner and I had a piece of tandoori chicken without any problems...this is the opposite of what we've been taught as bandsters...

For lunch I had 3 oz sirloin cut into 1/4 in pieces in black bean soup...yum.  I'm eating the way I did 2 years ago, lol.

Nothing changed.  I just wanted some salad and was willing to forego the chicken if it didn't work out.

My nutritionist is actually more knowledgeable than my surgeon and most of my other doctors I might add.  She insists on me eating as much fresh spinach as possible (it cleans out the liver so the liver can then help rid the bod of fat).  She says eat as much as you can even before protein.  I'm sure my doc would kill her if he knew she told me that, but guess what???  I LISTENED AND I LOST 27 POUNDS.  hmmmm????  eat healthy greens and lean protein and lose weight?  GASP, REALLY???

I'm sick of people being told to do total Adkins when that is BAD for people long term.  Healthy greens and fruits along with lean protein is the way to go.  That's how I started to lose again after a year of yo yoing the same 10 pounds.

Bypass Barbie uses spinach in her protein drinks. I tried it as well. When it's blended well you really don't notice the taste that much in a proetin shake.

Doing Atkins since the first of the year as band is on and off again and lost 40 pounds.  Not sure why you think Atkins doesn't allow greens.  Fresh spinich is big on my Atkins diet too.  Even though mine is different every freakin' day too and some day I can't eat protien or spinch.  I eat lots of berries too.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Still having problems with veggies, got lucky with the salad.  Spinach is a nono for me unless chopped in the food processor...
