If you hadn't made fun of people with band issues and their revisions, you wouldn't be on moderation. I know you weren't trying to make fun, but people don't think it is funny at all.Well, was I making fun or not? Since you can't seem to make up your mind - NO, I WASN'T!
I was, however, making fun of people who believe that the resolution to EVERY band issue is a revision. Suggesting that it IS is not funny at all!
I guess I can say it until I am blue in the face and some people just will not get it: 99 percent of band problems can be resolved with remedies OTHER than surgery: mindful eating, chewing carefully, paying attention to "stop" signals from our bodies, not staying over (or under) filled, not eating too fast, not eating too late at night. But for people to just stampede into every post and tell some person who's already scared crapless that they need revision surgery WHEN THEY PROBABLY DON'T isn't funny, and it isn't helpful. THOSE people need to be told "think before you say things." I expect to see you responding with just those words on THEIR posts as well.
Now this I've got to disagee on:

Clearly that just is NOT true! Do you honestly thing there are SO MANY REVISIONS b/c ppl are too stupid to chew carefully, or want to eat too fast??? According to the data from HHS Allergan has a 50% revision rate at 6 years. Really?! From ppl that are too stupid to chew food and slow down eating?!
Of course it's not true... but why should that stop people from believing it, right?
People who haven't experienced band failure need to convince themselves that it's something we're all doing wrong... that way they can be sure it won't happen to them. Until it does.
Then they disappear from the boards. Or, I mean... they're "off living their lives."

I would love to be in your group too Bette. Also, Isn't there a group for those who have been banded over a year? I looked but couldn't find it. I really miss the group of folks that were full of advise when I was banded.
