Question about restriction issue

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about restriction.  After not having a fill for over a year, I had a fill two and a half weeks ago.  I had perfect restriction.  I was definitely in the sweet zone after the fill.

Thursday night we went out to dinner with friends.  I got a little too involved in the conversation and really wasn't paying attention to what I was doing.  I wound up throwing up a little bit.

On Friday everything was ok, but I noticed I was able to eat more than usual at dinner.  Then yesterday I really didn't feel much restriction and I was starving all day.  I was very worried that somehow the throwing up Thursday night might have messed up my restriction.  I had no problem eating anything yesterday and I was absolutely ravenous.

Nothing changed from yesterday to today, but today I woke up and everything was back to normal.  The restriction was in the sweet zone and I'm not having hunger issues.

I sure would like to know what was going on yesterday where I was able to eat a lot and still feel hungry.  I didn't like it and I would like to avoid it in the future if I can.  I like my restriction and being able to eat just a little bit.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Wendy

I haven't had that happen and am 6 months into this myself, but... doesn't seem like a single episode would result in changing your band/restriction. It may need a couple days to settle down, try mushies and liquids a day or two.

I've had that happen and sometimes still do. It's a rollercoaster ride I've learned to accept. It happens but I know I will get back to where I should be. I agree with liquids and mashed for a couple days after. It gets you back on track.

Welcome to band life! Restriction can change at any moment. Fluctuactions can be extreme from day to day, minute to minute. :-(

Thanks for the advice.  So far everything seems to be going smoothly.  I have good restriction and i don't feel hungry.  Maybe Saturday was just some bizarre day.  I hope I don't have too many more of them
