Please stay around.  You are a great help and a very inspiring lady.  I remember you from when I was on the boards constantly.  I've been away for awhile, but it was nice to see you still here when I came back.

Don't let people get you down.  Keep doing what you've been doing.

BETTE-obviously I don't go to the Band Board (maybe I should-I need some fun in my boring life), but I find you to be..ummmm...INSPIRING..remember ?????? If you forgot...look down at your wrist...

As for the "town dump"....I kinda prefer it here..where the peeps are real..well...most of them, anyway...with a strange fox feeder thrown in, as there is in any dysFUNctional family...There are always gonna be "favorites"..."fighters".."know-it-alls"..."back-biters"..."polly-annas", etc..it's just the nature of life..some days I am ALL those things...with a Princess and a roaring ***** thrown in..just to keep people guessing...

Yea..crap gets boring..day after day..

But..hey..we could always go find us a flea ridden fox...and some duct tape..and..and..and..and..

That means a lot to me.

Bette, I don't know how you stay, or why.  The drama on the band board is so vicious from so many directions that its a wonder anyone is there at all.

Because I am waffling about whether my band can be saved I don't feel competent to be offering positive advise other than the generalities that others say so much better.

I do think there may be a "shelf life" for the band and maybe we all were there in the heyday.  But whatever, I say at this point protect yourself and do what is best for you first.  If that means less posting, then so be it.

Continuing in the vein of honesty... I have to ask this:  the private group that has been created was named in an attempt to make fun of another member of the band board. Now, I am no fan of this particular person, either. But it would NOT occur to me to start up a private group and name it something that was intended to be hurtful to someone else. Is this not "vicious" at all? 
(If I don't like someone, I tell them to their face!) 

For anyone to pretend to be holier than thou is just plain silly, in my opinion. It all depends on who you consider a friend and who you don't, I am thinking.

And, Judy, I think YOU seem like a very nice person from what I've seen. You have to admit that the very people who are doing the most complaining are doing some of the worst offending, as well.  THAT is the thing that bothers me... and why I spoke up. I am not sure why one group of people would be painted as "innocent" when they're exhibiting the same behavior they claim to dislike.


My opinion is that if a person posts threads intending to instigate trouble, they cannot be surprised when trouble occurs.

I really wish you the best with your band, by the way, too. I didn't know you were having trouble. I hope it works out well for you.

Bette, I don't know you at all and I've only been reading these boards for a month now, so I don't even know much of the history of all this drama.  From my own personal perspective, it's your delivery.  I'm sure you have a lot to offer in terms of experience and information, but you're so abrasive it just turns me off.  

There.  I'm a big girl.  Go ahead and blast me to hell if you want, I can take it.
