.3cc too much - Trust your gut, you know your body

So, I saw Dr. K on Monday for my 1 year checkup. I hadnt seen her since April when I had my last fill.  She she ordered me up an Esopogram (sp?)  since I am now 1 year out from Lap Band and we agreed to give me a tiny fill.

She gave me .4cc which brought me to an even 10cc. After the fill, I did the customary drinking of several shot glasses of cold water and I kept burping up water. I've never had this happen before, but, I was TOO TIGHT.  I got the nurse, he asked me if I'd like to wait a day and then come back in and they can remove some if necessary or if I'd like it removed now.  I said NOW. SO, they removed .3cc and I am at 9.7cc/14cc band.

I again did my shots of water and all was good.

Trust your gut.
 You know your body!

I have had this happen with 3.5cc in my 11cc Realize band.  Unfortunately it is still happening with no fill...you were right to take the .3cc out.  Glad you're doing well.

I haven't had any fills yet, but was wondering, when they do start to fill you, how much do they start putting in?

Every doctor is different and it also depends on the size if your band (I have a large lapband, ny realize band bc of scar tissue from RNY). I was prepped with 2nd at surgery and had anther 2cc about 6 wks later. I have a friend who first fill was a full 6cc.

I'm 3.5 years out.  I had to have a total unfill in December and just got restriction again about 2 months ago.  My last fill brought me up to 6cc's in an 11cc band.  I spent about 5 weeks being too tight...food would stay down and liquids too, but then I would get heartburn when I layed down and was constantly producing spit....Went in on Tuesday and .4cc's taken out.  Instant Relief!!!  So Happy I went back.

I was afraid I would lose restriction and that's what took me so long to go in.  I didn't want to end up having an complete unfill again and gaining.

Long story short, Go back and get some taken out!!
