Before You Were Banded...

I wish I would have known it was gonna slip... and then never work again. I wish I would have known about 7.5 years of heartburn... choking while I was sleeping. I wish I would have known I was about to waste $14,000!

I wish someone had told me that the referred left shoulder pain that everyone assured me was "just gas" would cause permanent, long lasting damage.

I also wish someone had told me that it's EXTREMELY common to experience this left shoulder pain. Back in 2003 when I had the lapband done, no one else knew anything about it and I was left to suffer by myself. It went on for years... debilitating, horrific, stabbing pain that made me want to kill myself just to be rid of it.

It's NOT "just gas." It's damage to a very important nerve system... the Vagus nerves. Any doctor who knows ANYTHING should realize that the lapband's close proximity to these nerves can cause a number of adverse effects.
