I was banded 2 years ago. I lost about 80 pounds total including preop stuff. I ended up getting pregnant about 9 months after surgery, I had a pretty uncomplicated pregnancy and ended up having a beautiful and healthy full term baby boy 6 months ago. During my last trimester I ended up getting my band completely unfilled because I was unable to eat and was getting heartburn. I was told I could start getting refilled about 4-6 weeks pp but life got way crazy with 3 young kids and I had some minor PPD. I have had NO time to exercise and I am just now getting back to wanting to. Anyways I have gained back weight and I am so ashamed of myself. I still have not gotten any more fills so my band is still completely empty but I still throw up sometimes and I started getting some mild heartburn off and on the past few weeks. I know I should go to my doctor (need to find time to get in hopefully before my husband deploys in a few weeks) but I don't know if a fill will help at this point since there is times when I still throw up. I hope this made since and wasn't too much all over the place. Any tips I really need to get my butt back into gear I am so unhappy with myself right now!

Congratulations on your baby!
You should go to the Dr.--not to get a fill necessarily, but maybe to make sure your band hasn't slipped.
Now Listen to me. Don't you EVER be ashamed of yourself!! It's just weight. You'll find a way to get it off. You're a mother and a wife! And it sounds like your husband is in the military?! How blessed are you?? Very!
Get to the Dr. and make sure your band is still functioning correctly, then baby steps, OK??

Just wanted to say congrats! I am about 6.5 months prego right now with a boy! :)
I just had my baby four weeks ago and completely understand what you are talking about. I am trying to get back on the bandwagon and lose some weight. I am getting a fill Thursday, but also have some sudden tightening issues. I am completely empty now, but still get stuc****assionally at random times. I am going to mention that to my doctor when I go. TO be honest, I feel it could be because it is usually with breads or I took too big of a bite. However, I want to be safe. I wish you luck! DO NOT be ashamed though of weight gain. You had a child for heaven's sakes. I was embarrassed too until my husband finally said, "Look, get over it. I venture to guess that about 99% of women put on weight during pregnancy and do not lose it all after child birth. You got the band to help you, so use it." It made me realize I have nothing to be ashamed of. If I didn't have issues with food, I wouldn't have the band in the first place.
