If you've been banded for a year+ and having complications...Please share!
I am new to this site and I have really enjoyed reading these stories.
I was banded in 2006 and had problems with, what I was told was a med reaction, right from the beginning. I felt like my stomach was being choked. I begged to have the band removed a couple of days after I received it. They said it was a reaction from one of my meds. The feeling was relieved with anxiety meds but I don't think my body has ever really gotten used to it being there.
Has anyone ever had that reaction to the surgery?
I had lost 75 lbs the first year but have regained all of my weight. I have had adjustments but it doesn't seem to be helping me any more. I am now looking at getting a revision.

I think it will be RNY. I go to see my surgeon next week. I went to an RNY appt. with my daughter and the surgeon she saw doesn't do Lap Band because he knew they wouldn't work. We ended up talking about my band and it sounds to me like it isn't IF something will go wrong with the band but WHEN.
