Hi All,

Its been a while since I have been on the board, but am looking for some insight.

I am almost 3 years out from surgery. I have not have any fills for for over 2 years and lost 120 lbs overall in the first 13 months. I have kept of 80-85 lbs of it to date.

So, needless to say I have been blessed to have my band..

Lately I have been having alot of reflux in the morning and pain in the middle of my chest after eating( close to where I would think the band is.) This has happened twice in the past couple of weeks.

I have had no problems eating or keeping down any food and no vomiting...

Does this sound like a slip?

Please go in for an Esophogram.  Read my thread, ...if you've been banded 1+ years...lots of people having similar experiences.  I had an Esophogram last Oct, normal stream of barium through the stoma, Tuesdays Esophogram showed just a trickle going through.  I haven't had a fill in over 15 months....

I had the same thing you should see a doctor. But with me my band had ****eyed and a part of my stomach kind of flopped over the band so I had a little bit hanging over collecting food and acid, turned out that I had a way too small band and after the years scar tissue had built up so they replaced my small band with the large one and I have been good ever since.
You might also have a h Hernia both things can be figured out by our doctor. Good luck.

I am 2 1/2 years out and just started having some night reflux. I haven't had it checked yet though. :-(
