People are allowed to take medications post surgery... so you should be ok. I hope it cures your runs. If your problem persists.. I would check with your Dr. There may be liquid alternatives.

The AD was fine, it's not an NSAID.  It wouldn't hurt the band or you.

More importantly, if you have the runs so bad that you are afraid you might mess yourself at work, it's probably better to stay home tomorrow.  Also, with runs that bad, be careful you don't end up with dehydration.

If you haven't already done so, call your surgeon.  They can help.

Feel better soon, Bunny.

I had them for quite a few days after my surgery: liquids in, liquids out, as the saying goes.

I doubt that the Imodium did you any harm, especially since they are so small! Keep pushing those fluids in, though, to make sure you don't get dehydrated and - if it'll make you feel better, call your doc. That's what he (or she) is there for.

I took immodium and it helps.  Immodium comes in  Remember liquids in liquids out.  You are doing great to work 6 days out.  I  took 3 full weeks.

Good luck to you!!

I had the runs too from all the liquids! Your body isn't used to it, but it will adjust. I worked from home my second weekend by the third week no problems other then being a little tired!

Keep drinking!

I'd stay home a couple more days.  If all you're putting in your body is liquds that's all that will come out ya know?  I had them and still do when I go liquids for a day.  You'll have the total opposite happen when you start on just dense protein and no carbs.  It's a part of the process.  Hopefully by tomorrow you'll be ok.

No, it's not just you.  We heal at different speeds and some of us are ready to go back to work faster than others.

Use the time to be kind to yourself.  Get some sleep, drink more water than you thought you could (sip, sip, sip) and just chill.

Hi Bunny. Sorry you are feeling bad but please keep in mind that you are only 1 week out from surgery and you have already been back to work! I had my surgery on a wednesday and went back to work the following monday but in retrospect, I could've used a few more days off.
You are still healing. I remember feeling like someone punched me in the stomach for the first few days.

If you aren't drinking enough water, *that* can make you feel bad. Keep hydrated (sip, sip, sip!) and if you keep feeling bad, you can always call your doc to give you a pain prescription.

(BTW, I had to look at your recent posts to remind myself what stage you are in because you don't specify what kind of tummy trouble you are having so I am kinda guessing here)

Hang in there. It gets better. :)

ETA; oops I posted before seeing Caramel's response. Ditto what she said!
