re-introduction
Hi everyone! I'm not new to this board but its been a loooooong time since I've posted and most of you don't know me. My name is Leslie and I had the Lap Band June 2008. My weight loss has been extremely slow (99 lbs in 4 yrs); I have some autoimmune issues and my endocrinologist warned me that my weight loss would be much slower than most and that's okay with me. I had a baby one year ago and managed to lose 10 lbs while pregnant. Since delivery, I have gained 6 lbs back in 13 months.....I'm in need of some motivation and accountability. That is the main reason I have decided to get back on the board! So, its nice to meet ya'll. I look forward to reading your posts. On a side note, are there any exercise challenges going on? I'm not sure if people are still doing those, but some posters used to do a challenge fairly often.

I Leslie, congrats on the loss of weight and gain in a child :) How exciting.
I have Wegener's granulomatosis...autoimmune/vascular and I've been on chemo and prednisone for over 7 years.
My loss is very slow and when I was put on 80mg of pred last year I gained 25 pounds. I just lost that 25 pounds and plan on losing a hella lot more. What worked? I keep my band very loose due to inflammation. I cut out all bad carbs. The only carbs I eat are some green and a slight amount of berries. The low carbs has really helped me lose my hunger and lose weight.
