It's a Wonderful Life

Greetings!!

Life is just so wonderful!  I've lost so much weight!  My health is incredible!  Thank goodness for "the Band"!

It's hard work.  There are good days and bad days.  I'm not gonna lie, but it is soooo worth it!

I wish everyone could experience what I am experiencing!  I've recently discovered some new and favorite foods and drinks and I've tried new recipes that are lap-band friendly that even my family loves.  Does it get any better than this?  Why, yes, it does!

I went to two different pool parties this weekend and felt great about being in a bikini!   My husband is so supportive of me when we go out to eat and he lets me take all the time in the world to eat- even when he's finished up eating 30 minutes before I am!

I've tried to block (literally and figuratively) those who bring no relevant or positive information or support into my life, and though I know that has annoyed many, I am satisfied in knowing that living well and being happy (and looking good) are the best forms of revenge and self-motivation!!

Good luck to all of you on your Band journey and remember, YOU are in control.  YOU can do it!!

I will get those recipes typed up into one document and inbox you and Sue ASAP!!

It was scary stepping out in that bikini, and other than my breasts (courtesy of having children and weight gain--uugghhh), I have to say I looked pretty darn good!!

The band works if you put in the hard work, and I know you, and quite a few others have reached that success by working very hard and listening to your bodies and following the guidelines!!

I wish the best for everyone!!

What?? The band acutally works if you follow rules and DARE "exercise"? you've got to be kidding me?

But you see, I've only been so successful, because the band likes me.  If it didn't like me, it would sabotage me --no matter how much or what I ate, or how much I exercised.  So I guess I'm just lucky!

It could be worse.  Sometimes the manufacturer and surgeons conspire to permanently damage their patients (with the blessing of the band, of course), just so they can make a quick buck.  Again, because I'm lucky,  my surgeon and/or the manufacturer decided to place the band correctly and spare me.  I think the band must have been the tie-breaker vote on that.

HAHAHAHA obviously I'm illustrating the absurd by being absurd.  Nana, you and I, and quite a few others on this forum, understand just how hard it is to live with your band and that it takes hard work every single day.   I work very hard and I just want to share my success in hopes that I can motivate others and share my little secrets.

Thank you for all your support!!

WOW!!! A bikini???? I AM JEALOUS! I can't even imagine wearing a regualr bathing suit right now and I have lost 66 pounds! LOL I can't wait to get to where you are....... How far out are you?

Hi Jenna--

I'm 8 months out.

Its funny, because my extra weight was dense....or maybe better said, it wasn't flabby.  Does that make sense? So I think that my skin  and tissue were able to firm up after the weight loss (nearly 60 lbs).  Also, I'm kind of muscular and I always have been, and I'm sure that helps too.

Unfortunately,  there are a couple of things on my body that have suffered from the weight gain --those will require a surgical lift!! LOL

Keep up the good work and you'll be there in NO TIME!!
