For low carbers...or those stalled
Wow Janine! Look at you! You look great! AND your weight loss is wonderful!
I love the plain greek yogurt with a few berries and splenda too. Not much, just enough!

You couldn't have said it better! I totally agree with you!
I have PCOS and carbs are the absolute enemy for me. I have to totally cut them out of my diet or I do not lose and if I am eating them on a regular basis. I gain.
This summer, I ate Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Whole grain pasta - not in excess. In my smaller portions like the LapBander should do and I gained. I was not eating simple carbs and I wasn't gorging myself, but the scale kept increasing. I finally realized that for the first time since getting my band, I had allowed myself to have carbs in my diet daily. Big Mistake.
I am like others, if I eat carbs for breakfast, I want carbs for lunch and dinner. If I can get over the first few days of being carb free (and I do not allow myself any carbs besides what is in my one Premier Nutriton Protein Shake - 5 grams) then I am home free and the cravings have disappeared.
I have read a lot of books about the Carb Free Lifestyle. It makes sense because what carbs do to increase your Insulin - a Growth Hormone.
I know you struggle daily - keep doing what you're doing and thanks for offering such good advice to all of us!

SO we're not the only crazies, huh? I can't even complex carbs. I gain. And with complex carbs I CRAVE, CRAVE, CRAVE foods. I end up grazing all day. Since I've been no carb for almost 11 weeks (slight slip on a cruise for 5 days ... a dessert a day ... then detoxed right when I came back) I do not get that hungry on protein. I don't feel the need to graze. If I need a sweet I have a protein shake or some LF ricotta with a few smashed up berries and splenda :)
