Need to change name soon, band being removed

That's definitely doable with the sleeve. My ticker below reflects weight lost after my band removal. Yes, I was over 300 lbs even after nearly 3 years with a band (lost some weight the first year, but then put most of it back on).

Keep us updated and keep your head up high, you can definitely do this. It sucks that the band wasn't the way for you and let yourself mourn that a bit, but then just look forward to what a revision holds in store for you. I'm so happy I was able to revise. The sleeve was the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Come visit us on the sleeve forum too. I can't wait to hear about all of your success.

Sorry the band didn't work out for you. Many of us out there know the feeling. :-(

I hope that you will be able to revise. The thing I always hear from revisioners is VSG works the way the band was suppose to work. As for a name..........how bout X-Banderella???

Oh Phyllis,  I am sorry that you have had such a hard time.

I will be sending you good thoughts and healing vibes next week.

I hope that the band removal is uneventful and that your doctor is able to revise you so you don't have to wait and undergo another surgery later on.

Best wishes to you -- please let us know how things go when you are feeling up to it.

Bandarella...

Wow that is interesting you can't eat solid protein has it always been that way for you for the 5 entire years? Everyone I know can eat lean proteins with their bands but just not that much.

That's a long time to go without any protein, I hate to be the barriers of bad news but MANY have dumping syndrome with the Sleeve and can't tolerate many carbs, so you may have to adjust to living with the Sleeve too,

I wish you much success with your new revision to the Sleeve and hope you have the success that you did not have with the band.
