This is my 2nd band and it's just not for me. Being removed June 19th. Won't know what my next option is until after my doctor tells me what she finds when it's removed. But, I'm approved for a removal and a VSG by my insurance. Just want to eat a whole piece of chicken again and a fibrous vegetable without thinking I'm having a heart attack from chest pain.

Know no matter which operation you decide, I will be here if you need.

FOR ME, if I had to have my band removed I'd go sleeve. But again, it's ALL A PERSONAL decision!!

Best fo luck, and I am praying for you!!
Good Luck on your Journey !!

You're so sweet Tom. I love ya. Even if you did make everyone on the lap-band forum go bye-bye. ;-)

Phyllis,

I'm sorry you are having such band issues.  I hope removal of the band is an uneventful as can be and, if you want the VSG, that you will be able to have it done with a minimum of fuss.  Feel better.

As for name, you could try your first name and last initial until you come up with another one.  Or stay bandarella at least until you figure out another clever one.  Or you could come up with an entirely new moniker when it hits you.

Take care and best wishes.

Sorry to hear the band isn't working out for you, but glad to hear there is some relief in sight. Been there, done that myself.

Are you still looking to lose weight or just trying to maintain weight loss?

I hope all goes well with your band removal and however you decide to proceed from there. Keep us updated!

I've been crazy busy!!

I took a new, awesome job which required a long distance move. It has been an extremely hectic 6 months or so and now I'm getting more settled in. Loving the changes though. Having a lot of fun.

Tell Georgia that I said hello! I won't be missing it this summer, but come winter up here in Missouri I know I'll be reminiscing of mild winters in Augusta!

Stil need to lose some serious pounds. I'd like to lose 100 but my doctor would be happy with even 70.
