6 months post op

I am very happy with my results... In the beginning when I was getting my fills, I had become frustrated, I even started wondering if I should've done a different surgery. I realize now, how happy I am with my decision. I hope that I can shed some light for those people that are where I was, and let them know, that each month you will get more fluid in the band, when you reach 6 months, your band will be more filled and you will get the benefits of the surgery. Just be patient. This is the best decision I have ever made, it has made a huge difference in my life!! I'm glad I was told by my Doctor's assistant, to be patient, and to fill the band more, before I made a decision for revisional.  I'm glad that I didn't need anything more invasive. I had a low BMI and I lost 45 lbs so far. It has made a huge difference, I'm getting closer to my goals and that has been a big eye opener. I never thought I'd be able to get down to the weight I am at, I feel better about the summer. I used to wake up in the morning on a hot sunny day and dread the day. My family members would say, it's such a beautiful day, why don't you go out. I just wanted to stay in the comfort of air conditioning and sometimes in bed. Now, I wake up and if the sun is shining, I enjoy the outdoors. My clothes fit better, and I have goals in sight, it's actually a possibility that I will be at my goal within a couple of months, if I continue on my path of eating right, fills, and exercise. It is still a process, there is no quick fix, not even with the other surgeries. It is a tool, and if used right, you will see results. LAPBAND WORKS!!! and it has CHANGED MY LIFE :)
