I am 3 years out and have had several fills and unfills but I am throwing up everyday too.  My story is similar to yours.  I agree this is not normal and that you need to push your doctor to do some testing.  If he refuses find another doctor because that one is dangerous.
You may just need to have all the fluid out.  If you barely have any in it maybe you are one of the lucky ones that do well with just the band and no fills.  If not there are other surgical options.

I have had all the tests done, I have had an empty band since August 2011, and I still get stuck a couple times a week. Just did tonight on very soft chicken breast. It is a rotisserie and is melt in the mouth, in the mean time, STUCK after 2 tiny bites. They said my band is not slipped, however they do not know why I am still getting stuck, why I am having regain, and why I am miserable with this thing.
I will be revising to sleeve as soon as the funds are available, that is all there is to it. In 5 days I will have had my band for 3 years, and I am down 6 lbs from my surgery weight.

RitaF123,

I am going to give the same advice most did here, CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!

Don't wait for the next visit, MAKE ONE NOW!!

Tell your Doctor you want an upper GI and/or have a Fluoroscope done ASAP!!!

If they balk, or start with the "let's try this" .. Tell them, "Let's try this .. I am going to another Doctor"!!!

Good luck, and know we're here for you!!!
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom
