I can't believe you are going to your surgeon and telling him you are throwing up and he has not ordered a Upper GI and checked your band...that is actually malpractice and I can't believe your surgeon would put his license at risk and ignore your complaints....
If that is the case YOU NEED TO DEMAND an Upper GI to check your band placement because throwing up EVERY SINGLE DAY IS NOT NORMAL...
How do you know how much fluid is in your band? If your surgeon does not know the condition of your band how do you know if the amount of fluid is accurate?
You may need to get a second opinion and find another surgeon that will give you proper aftercare, you do have options and don't have to put up with this...Because if you continue vomiting every single day...you can damage your esophagus and possibility cause your band to slip.
Good luck

Kudos to you for sticking up for her Lori! Support should not just be for those that least need it. This poor woman is having serious band issues, and for another bandster to act like she is lying about this is reprehensible!
I agree with everyone else, and I would press your surgeon to order an upper GI be done, to verify that your band is not slipped.
Hugs, I know how hard it is.
Rita...
I am truly sorry that you are going through this. I had the same situation. Actually, I had NO saline in my band for 2-1/2 years, it started out throwing up occasionally, ended up where I could not digest any protein. I was also throwing up on a daily basis. I wish I could say it gets better. I had upper GIs. barium swallow tests. MRIs, everything showed my band to be in place.
After about 2-1/2 to 3 years of this, my band slipped. Within 3 days I was in emergency surgery to have it removed, it had cut off all the blood supply to my stomach and caused necrosis in my stomach. During surgery, they had to remove over half of my stomach due to damage.
Tell your doctor that you want proof that your band hasn't slipped (it may not have). Tell him that you want all of the fluid out and if that doesn't help, have the band removed. I know that may sound drastic, but what quality of life are you having with the band in? I have damage to my esophagus, teeth, bones, etc. due to the constant vomiting. It does get much better when the band is removed. Good luck!!
