What if the person IS the subject? Is this a loophole?

There's always a loophole.

Oh, I'm just kidding!  I'll try not to be a name-calling, hateful, threatening, harassing, insulting, malicious asshat from now on.

How can anyone be surprised at this post?  This forum is filled with hateful statements and comments and posts, not at all in reference to the band!  Heck, in THIS very post, someone called out Nana!!  Ridiculous!

I've said in the past that I won't block anyone.  I don't mind bantering and debating, because sometimes, you can learn valuable information, but if you get offended my anyone, then you should block.

But from what I'm learning, blocking doesn't really help when there are people on here that log out just so they can read posts from those that they have blocked, or who have blocked them!  And how about those of you who have numerous profiles just so you can comment on someones post who you've blocked or has blocked you?!

You are correct. Blocking does not help because the trouble makers troll the boards and will log out and there is way to piggyback on someone else respone even if you have that person blocked. I have Nic blocked but yet she responds to almost all of my posts. It is shame that people just can't come here and support in peace.

All that matters, Nana, is that you and I and many others, stay focused on our successes and lean on each other for advice (recipes, exercise, NSV, etc).  We realize that we are the stewards of our bands.  Its important that we remember that our bands are not fail proof, but that the most important thing we can do is keep listening to our surgeons and follow the guidelines; and the MINUTE something seems "a little off",  we deal with it immediately!

The one thing I have picked up on this forum, from those who have had horrible experiences, is that you simply cannot afford to wait.  If your surgeon dismisses your issues/complaints, then you MUST seek help from another doctor, ASAP.  And that advice is priceless!

Exactly! You hit it dead on the NAIL! NO ONE is EXEMPT from complications, regain or failure.....In fact, I had a hernia (rare obturator hernia ) that almost killed me in 2008, my surgeon claims it was from massive weight loss and all the surrounding tissues that sort of held it together was no longer there ..if I did not have emergency surgery or a have a surgeon that was skilled and seen where I had a bowel obstruction in my lower uterus and had great aftercare, I would have died.......

I had to have emergency surgery and my lap band unfilled...although IT WAS NOT A LAP BAND ISSUE...it was exacerbated from massive weight loss....and the Hernia was rare in my uterus...and after that I had a miscarriage (and some hormonal issues) and could not exercise as frequently due to to pain in my lower abdomen...hence why I started regaining some weight...and yes it took me about 8 months to get my band back at optimal restriction levels and when I talk about having a lot of fills on this board...I get harassed and taunted by the band bashers and others that can't stand me...so I don't talk about ANY issues that I;'ve experienced I only try to educate and warn newbies of what can happen if they keep don't follow post op rules and keeping their bands too tight and warning signs.

But yet, I follow safety rules with my band and people here call me a band cheerleader..again...so far I take care of my band and (knock on wood) I've been able to escape any type lap band complication even when I was too tight, I always sought immediate help when I started to experience adverse symptoms...I DON'T WAIT...and so far so good with me.

But do I talk about my issues here every single day? NO..WHY? Because what happened to me WAS A UNIQUE PROBLEM and hernia's do happen to a lot of obese people that loses weight even bypass folks..but NOT ALL....

This board USED to be place where we could celebrate, laugh, cry, vent, get personal, motivate, uplift, brag, and get help with recipe ideas, staying on track with exercise, following band rules...NOT A CONSTANT I HATE MY BAND I NEED A REVISION FORUM....I gained weight...I have NO DESIRE TO GET A REVISION....I NEED TO START BACK WITH THE BASICS AND STAY ON TRACK AND GET MY BAND FILLED PROPERLY....AND IDEALLY USE THE BOARD AS A TOOL...I LOST MY WEIGHT HERE WITH ALL THE MOTIVATION AND UPLIFTING FROM MY FRIENDS HERE.....WE NEED TO KEEP IT THAT WAY....but again....WE DO NOT IGNORE THOSE WHO ARE HAVING ISSUES...SUPPORT THEM BUT AT THE SAME TIME I THINK IT IS A DISSERVICE TO THOSE WHO WANT TO KEEP THEIR BANDS AND DON'T NEED TO HEAR DAILY HOW BAD THE BAND IS AND HOW WE ARE ALL DOOMED TO LOSE IT....TO ME THAT IS NOT BEING SUPPORTIVE... IT IS DOWN RIGHT HARASSING....
