I went and filled out all my paperwork for my surgery on the 6th.
They took some blood and asked alot of questions (did I have this or that).
Everyone was very nice and spoke highly of my surgery. The nurse that took my
blood (her sister) had the same surgery I am about to have with my doctor and lost
nearly 150 pounds in two years. That is wonderful thing.

Getting close :)

Everyone have a great/wonderful day :)

If you're positive about going forth with the lapband, I do wish you the best of luck. I wish I could change your mind (but I'm kind of a stubborn cuss that way!)

I hope everything goes well for you and you're well taken care of, Beachbunny.

Thanks... I have an artist meeting this evening. I should be drumming up ideas for our next exhibit... but I'm having a dearth of creativity at the moment.   I'm all blah and boring.  That could be a theme, though, couldn't it? "Blah and boring!"  I'm writing it down.

It's actually chilly here in the Midwest. The last 2 days have been in the 50s... and just when I got my pool ready to swim in!!! Last week it was hotter than hot.  I'm impatiently waiting for it to heat up again.

Yes, I'm a full time artist. (Of course, if I had to support my family, we'd live in a van, down by the river!)  My hubby is an engineer... so he and I are kind of opposites, to say the least.
I'm in two artist groups that keep me hopping. I do a lot of painting at night... but when it's nice outside, I sit and paint outside in my yard. The cold snap sucked the creativity outta me!

We just had an exhibit called, "Figuratively Speaking." I had this very buxom "full figured" mannequin that I painted and added a LOT of stuff to. She was supposed to be Mother Earth... and she was kind of scoffing at the "Apocalypse 2012" idea. I titled it: "What Seemed Like the End Was Only the Beginning." My thought was that IF something is going to happen in 2012, it will be a mass shifting of consciousness. Maybe we'll wake up and realize our true potential.

I had to move around a lot while working on her, so it was easier to work out on my patio. I found myself actually apologizing to her when I'd have to grab her butt to move her. That's a sure sign that you need to take a break.   I'd see my neighbors peeking through their fence at me, too!   They're probably thinking, "Hmmm. Do we report this to the authorities or just stay quiet?"

HA! Poor Sammy. He needed tequila after that.

Here's a notsohot pic of my "lady."  Her "shirt" was supposed to represent materialism... it's full of buttons and jewelry. (Hot glued the heck outta my fingers, too!)  Her top necklace is the earth with surrounding clouds, the bottom one is blood droplets with every blood type written on them. She has a fancy ring that I sculpted and wrote, "Oh no. Solar flare." Her skirt is made of fern leaves... and I painted a pair of shoes that I had always hated. They hurt so badly. I was gleeful while painting them.    I made a font from an old porch balister and a bowl that I painted. In it, I put painted wood blocks on which I wrote ways to help the earth and be better as humans. (Half of them got stolen!)  Irony, huh?

Here's the armoire that I painted for the same exhibit.
