I have gotten some aweseome ideas (from the recent breakfast post)
one chicken chili (which I cant wait to try after my surgery and a few weeks passing)
also some little items w/cheese and some turkey crumbles...and a listing of 100 cal snacks.

Anyhow, would love to get some simple/quick easy protein dinners.

I appreciate any responses :)

I think there is a recipes forum here on OH that might have a lot of ideas. I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions. I relied on Carnation Instant breakfast in skim milk with protein powder since I was unable to eat solid foods while banded. So, I'm wracking my brain, trying to think of some good post op recipes and I'm coming up blank, sorry!

If you Google "high protein, post bariatric surgery meals" you'd probably find a ton of stuff to help, as well.

Well, I'm sure that people here will chime in with some good recipes, too... but it never hurts to broaden the search, right?

My son is a vegetarian and I'm having to search for ways to incorporate protein into meals. I'm still learning to cook with tofu. NOT proficient yet. AT ALL.

In the mornings, my band is tight, so I don't "eat", but I blend a yogurt into a protein shake, which for me is very satisfying.

Every week, I make a pot of chili and beans.  Sometimes turkey, sometimes ground beef (sirloin), which ends up being my lunch 99% of the time.

As for suppers, I eat whatever I cook for my family.  I'm kind of old fashioned and my meals usually always consist of a protein, a starch and a veggie.

I seem to be getting plenty of protein, though, because my hair is growing like crazy and I'm full of energy and my muscle mass is solid!  My arms and thighs are very muscular!

I make turkey/beef meatloaf. I love fish and I make it in the microwave with a little lemon juice and pepper or I bake it in the oven at 400 for 20 minutes, rolled in Italian bread crumbs. Makes it a little crunchy if you raise it off the pan on a rack when baking.

For veggies, I have grown to love edemame. Really high in protein.

Other than that, I love breakfast for dinner and I eat out a lot. Chicken taco with retried beans, no shell.

Hope that helps!

My 'go to ' high proteins for the first 18 months were

Home made chili
Home made meat loaf or meatballs ..... I made them soft and I wrapped up about 1/2cup servings .....then, I ate with some marinara or a few spoonfuls of Safeway Tomato Basil soup spooned over it

Tuna, egg or chicken salad .. Home made or store bought. I ate this for lunch with one ounce of whole grain crackers.
To give you an idea of my bite size, I would break a regular sized wheat thin into 4 pieces and eat a little salad on each piecs ...teeny tiny. It is 16 crackers cut into fourths, so 64 tiny bites with 3 or 4 ounces of tuna salad. Add some sliced cucumbers and that was all I needed.

Store bought rotisserie chicken was moist enough for me.
White fish for dinner is always a good choice

When I was new, and on mushy or soft food, I ate tuna salad and I made the Baked Ricotta (ricotta, egg, spices, Parmesan, topped with mozzarella and marinara ...baked like lasagna and yummy.

As far as snacks go, the recent
Opting of 100 calorie snacks is mostly processed, non-nutritional crap.
Stick with low fat string cheese and a few crackers, or 1/2 a protein bar or fruit.

Again, when on soft food, I ate small cups of applesauce or I made my own sugar free pudding and mixed in extra protein powder.

Tried posting this on the breakfast one and it didn't show up right. It's real quick and easy:

High Protein Spinach Gorgonzola Cheese Quiche Cup WLS Recipe

Sounds awesome doesn’t it?! I love quiche, and I love cheese, like spinach. So the High Protein Spinach Gorgonzola Quiche Cups are a win-win with me!

I got the recipe from Linda Farnsworth from EatinWellLivingThin. If you are looking for some healthy, low calorie, low carb, low sugar recipes, then check out her wesite!

SPINACH-GORGANZOLA QUICHE CUPS

I love quiche in any way, shape, or form.  It’s comforting to me…the possibilities are innumerable…and they are protein-filled while being fairly low in calories.  A complete meal in a finger food!  (I love LOADED quiche, so I added a little more spinach in the ones photographed.)

These freeze wonderfully, so make lots.  It’s not any more work to do a double batch!

1 medium sweet onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons butter

One 10-ounce package frozen, chopped spinach, thawed

1/2 cup Gorgonzola cheese

1/4 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

6 eggs

1/2 cup skim milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon salt-free Italian seasoning

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Dash cayenne pepper

Dash freshly grated nutmeg

Crock pot chicken. 1 cup of ketchup
1 can of diet coke
12 oz chicken. Cook 4 hrs on high or 6 on low.  It turns out moist and yummy.
