It has been almost 2 years since my lapband and now I am experiencing pain like soreness in my upper ribcage and in my belly button.   When I told the my doctor he stated it could be from the place where he has to do my fill may be stretching somewhat when I sleep on my stomach.  This morning I had the pain again and started dry heving several times.  He thinks my asophigus is spasming which is causing the pain and wants to take out fluid.  He did an upper GI and liquid is going in fine.  Anyone else experience this issue?

The two year point is when complications kick in with a band.  Sounds like it might be esophageal spasms.  VERY painful!  Feels like a heart attack.  Remove all the fluid from your band and it will likely go away.  Of course, then you have a non fuctioning band.  :o(  Sorry.

I would think that would be a weird location to feel esophageal spasms, they tend to feel more like mid chest pain, I've heard it can make you suspect you're having a heart attack. At any rate, if this is happenening 2 years out, you really need to try to find out WHY and find out what is up. See if taking some fluid out makes you feel better, but even if it does, ask for an upper GI to check-up on everything.
Also, do you still have your gallbladder? That is not the typical location for gallbladder pain, but mine wasn't either and when it finally crapped out on me I had a lot of dry heaving as well.
