Hitting a platau/ on liquids for a week
Congrats on your weight loss!
I am not sure if your doctor ordered you to return to your Pre op liquids or it was your request. If it was your doctor, ignore my post.
I am not sure how many calories you're taking in now, but my fear would be when you return to eating solids again, your weight will increase or you will stall again. When you cut your calories drastically you lose, but you body tends to slow your metabolism to sustain your energy at such a low calorie intake.
I have hit many plateaus in the last 4 1/2 years and each time I have broken them with a 10 day high protein, extreme low carb diet. (my Pre op diet) the calories remain approx 1200. Protein 80-100, and less than 20 gms of carbs. After 2 days, I do not have any cravings, I am satiated after meals and my plateau is broken. I add good carbs back in gradually and I am back on the losing track. The Lapband does nothing for a liquid diet. The liquids slide right though the band and you're hungry.
Pardon me if this is an order from your Band surgeon. I just wanted to share an easy way of breaking a plateau.
Good Luck!
