lap band with plication

has anyone gotten this procedure? if so, id love to hear from you.

 I don't have this but have spoken with people that have. Seems it doesn't really change much and can make it dangerous if you try to revise later, but like I said.... thats what I've heard.

All I know is I haven't read anything good about it and that reputable surgeons won't do it. Why would a person butcher their stomach like that? The stomach tends to die where it is folded over and deprived of circulation. Personally if I were going to go that far I'd go ahead and get a sleeve,  that is a surgery that has been proven successful for decades. I wouldn't even consider doing it.

I think there was a lot of discussion on the board about this a month or so ago. I don't know if you can do a search to find it.

I went to the top of the page and typed plication in the search window and several came up as well as some other articles on google that show up in the right margin. I hope reading some of those helps you.

 You aren't going to find many b/c most surgeons will not preform it b/c of the high complication rate that goes along with it.

 
You won't find many because most surgeons refuse to do it.  Clinical trials showed poor results and due to risks most surgeons won't plicate people anyway.  However, you can find a couple of them posting here below.
