Stick to the facts -   the band works for many people.

I was responding to Maria's attack on surgeons.

And just how did Maria "attack surgeons"???

Why would you care?  Honestly, why should it matter to you?  Someday if you ever actually do become a doctor than I can see why it would bother you but we all know you aren't a doctor of medicine.  You don't even know the basics of human anatomy.

Stop trying to stir the pot, it's just not useful.

Maria has a right to her opinions whether anyone likes it or not.

Yet again............you are WRONG. Maria is pissed that the thread was removed. It was stated to me that since it was a re-post of a deactivated member that it was removed.

It appears that in the repost that you omitted the snarky comment a out surgeons not reporting issues for financial gain.

That comment offended me. I hold my surgeon in very high regard. I would not have placed my life in his hands if I did not.

For you to imply that he would fail to report band complications for financial gain was improper in my opinion.

The link to report our own issues to the FDA is appropriate conversation for this board. The slamming of surgeons as a whole should not be tolerated.

I did not write any of those comments. I said it was a re-post. However I don't disagree with most of the comments. MANY Drs. do NOT report band complications. This has been proven when some of our bandsters go back and investigate and find that there is no record of their band complications/removals.

I would like to believe that most surgeons have the best interest of their patients at heart, however I just don't know if that is true. I know some do, b/c some are now refusing to install bands despite it being a cash cow for them..............others though continue to push the band knowing their high failure rates. As far as %................I can't say what % actually puts their profits above the health of their patients. It would be interesting to know, but it's not like they are gonna tell us, lol.

I know for sure that my first surgeon was a quack, and didn't report most things that went wrong, mostly because they were HIS errors.
