Thinking about Lap Band

Send me a PM and we'll make plans.

For the longest time I did a get together dinner all over the state that included all bariatric folks. We share our stories. Because of addressing some family issues I stopped, but will be beginning it soon. I'll make sure I post it here in case you're interested.

Good Luck on your Journey !!

The best advice I could give you is get anything BUT the band! Too many complications and too many band removals/revisions. Since you will more than likely end up having to revise anyway.............why not just go with a more effective WLS to begin with???

For me the Lap Band was the worst decision. I just turned into a bulemic pretty much. All you do is vomit all the time. It's horrible. The acid reflux and choking at night was misserable. Mine slipped, then I got it fixed, now I've had a revision to the RNY. I'm much happier.

I had same experience as Robin and I revised to RNY and I'm sooo happy.  Bulimia went away!

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

 Hi Mike

The lapband has changed my life.

I started with a 54" waist and am now a 32" waist.

I have no regrets at all.. .it was worth every penny.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
