Dev you look great! My daughter & I had surgery together also. She had bypass but because of my health issues the surgeon would only do band on me. She of course was at goal weight in 6 months. I on the other hand am still working for every pound. But we have talked about it and she feels like I have learned to eat healthier than she has. She lost her weight soo fast she hardly had time to wrap her mind around how she needed to eat.
I think the journey is different for each of us.

Thanks! I feel like I'm carrying half the weight in my legs, ankles, and feet because (just like last time) I've packed on plenty of fluid! I had to do 5 days of steroids for a bad rash on my back and that got rid of all the excess fluid for a little while (lost 4-5 lbs in 2 days), but once I finished the steroids I went right back to having cankles! Last time I gained around 23-24 lbs and went home from the hospital only 4 lbs over baseline. I've gained a little faster this time, so I'm really trying to watch myself.

Banded 03/22/06  276/261/184 (highest/surgery/lowest)

Sleeved 07/11/2013  228/165 (surgery/current) (111lbs lost)

Mom to two of the cutest boys on earth.
