My 7 year Lap Band Journey Pics

I thought I would share some pics of my weight loss journey...many have asked me how I lost weight and why I still love my lap band after all these years....well....it may not be the perfect tool at all times, it may whip my butt sometimes..but it has always been there when I really need it.

I never made it to a "normal bmi" but that was not my goal I really I just wanted to be healthy and wear normal size clothes and live my life...and my band has allowed me to do all that and then some.....I made sure I walked at least 30 minutes every day and that helped kept my weight down for 5 years...I got married at 5 years post op and relocated...stopped exercising ate sweets too much ate out at restaurants and did no****ch anything....and got some saline removed a few months ago...and just got my band filled again to get back on track and get back into my size 10's

I started out as a heavy weight.....and pretty much maintained my weight loss through the years....but overall I am still happy and healthy....

Hey YOU....long time no see...good to see you on the boards!  You are looking pretty good as usual yourself...I wished more ole timers would post more often...I am trying to get by lap band back in gear and get some weight off...

What ever happened to my friend in Atlanta? I forget her name Carol? I was going to meet her at one point.

 I lived close to ATL and you and We had talked about meeting...I don't remember what happened that we didn't meet up.

I go for my first fill in over 2 years next week.  I got a slight unfill last year in July and did very well with less restriction.  I did gain some weight, but it was my own fault for eating the wrong things!  After 6 years you'd think I'd learn!!  But, once a food addict always a food addict.  

So, I am back on the band wagon and looking forward to dropping a few pounds before bathing suit season is in full swing!

I am sure you will do well..you've done so well with your band and is still gorgeous! You are like me I got some saline removed last year and ASSUMED...I was "healed from obesity" and could do it on my own with less saline...but NOPE...I need saline to get me going and losing weight again.
